Fortnite has released a trailer for Festival, a new music-based experience within the game, featuring The Weeknd as the headliner.
Developed by Rock Band studio Harmonix, Festival allows players to hit notes in time to a song while watching an artist on-screen. Players have the option to perform in a band with their friends or go solo on stage. It launches on 9 December in Fortnite only. Check out the trailer featuring “Take My Breath” below..
Fortnite has been steadily building its reputation for crossover music events. Over the years, it has hosted performances by Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Marshmello, and – this past weekend – Eminem. It’s also served as a unique place for artists like Dominic Fike and J Balvin to debut songs while performing in the game.
